Fantasy Analysis
The battle for the final blueliner spot continues, as Jakub Kindl will replace him in the third pairing for Thursday's tilt with Vancouver. (Updated 02/02/2012).
12/30/2011 23:29 Blackhawks top league with 52 points
Brent Seabrook scored a goal to break a tie early in the third period, and the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 on Friday.
We may never know why the Blue Jackets took it upon themselves to ink Commodore to a five-year deal before the 2008-09 season, but they thought the move was enough of a mistake to buy him out after three disappointing campaigns. The Wings signed him in July to bolster their blue-line depth, and given that he'll be a third-pairing option if he sticks on the roster, there's no reason to think his role will lead him to push over the 30-point threshold for the first time in his career.
