| Fantasy Analysis |
Erat had a monster December with 18 points, but had just one point in his first five games of 2010 before getting back on track. He's certainly worth a look in deeper leagues right now. (Updated 01/31/2010).

Upshall records natural hat trick in third period to help Coyotes win
Scottie Upshall scored three goals in the third period and the Phoenix Coyotes beat the Nashville Predators 4-2 Thursday.
|
| Martin Erat has delivered great results for the Predators since they took him in the seventh round in 1999, so it wasn't a shock to see Nashville hand him a seven-year extension last offseason. He rewarded the team with his third straight 50-point campaign in 2008-09. He ranked third on the club with 33 assists, and fourth with 50 points and 17 goals. He is second in franchise history with 303 points and 102 goals. Erat did post 15 points (12 assists) in his final 14 games, but missed the last six contests with a fractured left leg. Erat is not expected to miss the start of the season. While the Predators have gotten great returns on a low-round draft pick, inconsistency continues to be Erat's biggest personal hurdle. For that, he remains more of a low-end Fantasy flier. (Updated 8/17/09) |
