Fantasy Analysis
Though Blake Wheeler's dynamic passing would translate well to the Olympic-sized ice, fans of the Red, White, and Blue won't see Wheeler represent his country this May. (Updated 04/20/2012).
04/07/2012 22:06 Stamkos joins 60-goal club, Purcell has hat trick in Lightning's OT win
Steven Stamkos scored his 60th goal of the season and Teddy Purcell had a hat trick -- including the overtime winner -- and the Tampa Bay Lightning ended their season with a 4-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.
Wheeler split last season between the Thrashers and Bruins and scored 18 goals and 26 assists for 44 points. In his three NHL seasons, Wheeler has missed a grand total of two games. He has offensive talent and is just on the verge of entering his prime production years. He'll play on the Jets' top two lines after scoring 17 points in 23 games with the team last year. All signs point to Wheeler topping his career highs, so he'll make a solid fantasy pick once the top guns in the draft have been selected. (Updated 10/4/11)
