Fantasy Analysis
The assist snapped a four game scoreless streak for Nathan Gerbe, who has eight points in 33 games this season. He's good for the odd offensive outburst, but they're too few and far between to make him much of a fantasy factor in Buffalo. (Updated 4/7/13).

04/07/2013 22:45 Sabres edge Devils, extend New Jersey's losing streak
Nathan Gerbe scored the only goal in the shootout to give the Buffalo Sabres a 3-2 victory Sunday night over New Jersey that extended the Devils' losing streak to seven games.
Nathan Gerbe was lost in the shuffle during the 2011-2012 season, posting just 25 points in 62 games during an injury-plagued season. He is healthy to kick off his third full season, but it remains to be seen which direction his career will take. With Tyler Ennis stepping forward, Gerbe needs to outplay Cody Hodgson and Mikhail Grigorenko in order to avoid getting relegated to spot duty once again. He's likely in line for a 30-40 point season as he fights for relevance in a competitive lineup. (Updated 8/14/12)
