Oshie assists in fifth straight: Blues C T.J. Oshie made it five straight games with an assist when he helped out in Monday's loss to the Avalanche.

Oshie has been playing much better hockey since moving back to the center position, and it might be time to grab him in more than just deeper leagues. Oshie, who made the rare jump straight from college to the NHL, has the talent to be a very solid NHL forward down the road.

| The Blues waited patiently for center T.J. Oshie to make his NHL debut after selecting him 24th overall in 2005. It finally came in 2008-09 after Oshie wrapped up a successful career at North Dakota. Unfortunately, a high-ankle sprain sidelined Oshie for a considerable amount of time as a rookie, but in the moments we saw him late in the season he showcased the kind of impact St. Louis has been dreaming of. The highlight of Oshie's season was being named Rookie of the Month for March. He totaled four goals, nine assists and a plus-6 rating in 14 games. Oshie notched 35 points (12 goals) in his last 45 games and had 15 points (10 assists) in his last 17 games. His defense was quite impressive as well. Oshie posted an even or better marker in 48 of 57 games and ranked second on the Blues with a plus-16 rating. Oshie had a total of 39 points (14 goals), which placed him seventh on the team despite appearing in just 57 games. The Blues can't wait to see what Oshie might do with a full season of games.
