04/05/2013 22:17 Sabres rally with third-period scoring to sink Senators
Brian Flynn and Jochen Hecht scored third-period goals 12 seconds apart, and the Buffalo Sabres rallied to beat the Ottawa Senators 4-2 on Friday night.
Luke Adam looked like an early Calder candidate last season with 11 points in 11 games out of the gate. He hit a mid-season swoon and was sent to AHL Rochester, where his struggles continued. He was a point-per-game player at the AHL level in twos seasons ago, so he remains a player with serious offensive upside. Big, powerful wingers rarely develop in a straight line, so keeper leaguers will have to be patient with the Newfoundland native. Adam will compete for a spot with the Sabres at training camp, but don't be surprised to see him start the season in the AHL again. (Updated 8/14/12)
