Fantasy Analysis
Andrei Loktionov has just seven points in 39 appearances for the Kings this year, so he still has some work to do before he'll be an NHL factor. (Updated 02/25/2012).
02/22/2012 00:18 Coyotes rally to force SO, beat Kings
Radim Vrbata scored his second goal late in regulation and the Phoenix Coyotes rallied from a three-goal deficit to beat the Los Angeles Kings 5-4 in a shootout Tuesday night.
02/12/2012 20:54 Recent callups help Kings defeat Stars
Jordan Nolan and Dwight King each scored their first career goal and the Los Angeles Kings beat the Dallas Stars 4-2 on Sunday night in a matchup of Western Conference playoff contenders.
Loktionov had another season cut short with a shoulder injury that required surgery. He put up nice numbers (31 points in 34 games) with the Monarchs in the AHL in addition to his short stint with the Kings. The Kings want to keep him at center, so the offseason acquisition of Mike Richards will help them resist the urge of finding a spot for Loktionov. Expect him to start the season centering the top line at Manchester though he likely will be among the last cuts in training camp. He needs to add some bulk if he wants to take the next step forward.
