Fantasy Analysis
Alex Pietrangelo is picking up the scoring as the Blues close out the season. Unfortunately, he has not netted a goal in the last 21 games. Keep him in your lineup, as he continues to log more than 24 minutes per game. (Updated 4/23/13).
05/09/2013 00:29 Kings take control of series on Voynov's OT goal in Game 5
Slava Voynov scored on an odd-man rush at eight minutes of overtime and the Los Angeles Kings beat the St. Louis Blues for the third straight time, 3-2 Wednesday night.
05/03/2013 00:34 Blues score late, go up 2-0 on defending champion Kings
Defenseman Barret Jackman scored his first career playoff goal with 50.4 seconds remaining, lifting the St. Louis Blues to a 2-1 win over the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings for the second straight time Thursday night.
Alex Pietrangelo is the unquestioned leader on the defense for the Blues and the team's leader in minutes played. It was a slow offensive start for Pietrangelo in 2011-12, but for the second straight season, he had a stellar second half -- 40 of his 51 points came in the final 44 games from January through the end of the regular season. Don't get down on him if he's not putting up the offense right away. He will. Like many top defensemen in the league, Pietrangelo is on ice for both special teams, with 24 points coming on the power play. He should be one of the top five defensmen selected in any draft.
