Fantasy Analysis
With no points in his last 12 games, this doesn't come as a huge shock. Zack Smith had a great start to the season, but his game has lacked focus recently so a game or two in the press box should do him some good. (Updated 03/04/2012).
04/16/2012 22:22 Rangers blank Sens, regain home ice
Henrik Lundqvist made 39 saves for his fourth NHL playoff shutout, and Brian Boyle scored for the third straight game as the New York Rangers beat the Ottawa Senators 1-0 on Monday night.
Smith should start the 2011-12 season playing on one of Ottawa's bottom two lines. He loves to agitate and throw his body around, opening up space for his linemates, and can chip in with the occasional goal as he does have a nice wrist shot and decent foot speed. Smith has the tendency to take some misguided penalties due to his aggressive nature so if he is to establish himself as a bonafide NHLer, he'll need to dial back the aggressiveness during certain in-game situations. If he can put up 10 goals and 15 assists, the 2011-12 season can be considered a success for the 23-year-old Smith. (Updated 8/16/11)
