David Schlemko took two shots on goal and was credited with three blocked shots in his third game since returning from what was initially thought to be season-ending foot surgery. (Updated 03/19/2012).
11/25/2011 23:48 Schneider earns back-to-back shutouts
Cory Schneider got his second shutout in a row, needing just 21 saves against Phoenix's anemic offense, and the Vancouver Canucks routed the Coyotes 5-0 on Friday night.
11/21/2011 21:43 Capitals rally to upend Coyotes
Nicklas Backstrom scored early in the third period, then set up Brooks Laich's power-play goal, helping the Capitals rally from a two-goal deficit and edge the Phoenix Coyotes 4-3 Monday night, ending Washington's four-game losing streak.
Schlemko provided blue line depth for the 'Yotes last season, stepping in when Phoenix's defense caught the injury bug. He'll likely be given an opportunity to win a spot on the roster during training camp, especially with the departure of Ed Jovanoski. Even if Schlemko does stick with the big club, he's not much of an offensive-minded blueliner (four goals and 10 assists through 43 games), giving him limited fantasy upside. (Updated 8/16/11)
