Flyers' B. Schenn To Play Tuesday
Coach Craig Berube confirmed Schenn (neck) would play Thursday vs. Columbus, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.Remarkably, Schenn won't even be a game-time decision after skating just fine during morning skate. The forward has contributed assists in three of his last four games and should be safe for fantasy owners to use against the Blue Jackets.
Flyers' Schenn A Participant During Morning Skate
Schenn (neck) was on the ice for Thursday's morning skate, CSN Philly's Sarah Baicker reports.Schenn is still considered questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Blue Jackets, but it appears the Flyers are proceeding with the expectation that he'll be available. His presence in the lineup without having missed a single game would be an unforeseen development considering the viciousness of the hit to the head he took from the Caps' Tom Wilson on Tuesday.
Flyers' Schenn Not Concussed
Schenn (neck) does not have a concussion, Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.Amazingly, it appears that the center escaped Tuesday's scary incident without suffering a concussion at all. He did admit he still has a stiff neck, but could be in the lineup Thursday against the Blue jackets.
Jakub Voracek leads Flyers over Capitals, 5-2
PHILADELPHIA (AP) A three-goal cushion was much easier for the Philadelphia Flyers to protect the second time around.
|Brayden Schenn saw his minutes increase last year, and surpassed his 2011-12 numbers in seven fewer games. While he has typically played center for the Flyers, the addition of Vincent Lecavalier could see Brayden Schenn slide over to wing alongside Lecavalier. If that's the case, he could see more opportunities to collect goals and assists. He's still young at 21, so he could be an asset in later rounds, especially in keeper leagues. (Updated 8/12/13) |
