Fantasy Analysis
Eric Wellwood is probably too much of a peripheral player in Philadelphia's rotation to be a fantasy option in most cases, but his three points and plus-6 rating in five games this year make him a promising player worth monitoring for the long term. (Updated 03/03/2012).

03/04/2012 21:33 Bryzgalov, Flyers shut out Capitals
Eric Wellwood scored less than a minute after Philadelphia coach Peter Laviolette called a timeout to give his players an earful, and Ilya Bryzgalov made 34 saves, leading the Flyers to a 1-0 victory over the Washington Capitals on Sunday night.
Wellwood was just a sixth-round draft choice in 2009, but has already seen a bit of time with the Flyers, appearing in three games last season. He managed 28 points in 73 games at the AHL level a season ago. The 21-year-old will likely need some more seasoning, but he projects as a solid two-way prospect in the coming seasons.
