When Evgeni Dadonov was traded to Carolina mid-season last year, it was assumed that the 'Canes would try to work him into the mix at the big-league level in hopes that he could develop into an everyday NHL player. As Dadonov still awaits a shot with Carolina, it might be safe to say the Hurricanes brass have seen some things in the minors they don't like about the 23 year-old Russian. Even in dynasty formats, players like that are always a risk. Dadonov notched 28 points in 55 AHL contests last season and remains one of the more talented prospects in the Carolina system.
