Fantasy Analysis
Philip McRae was pivotal in the Rivermen's comeback, scoring two goals in the final 72 seconds to send the game into the extra period. Both goals came with the goalie pulled and on the power play, as Rockford took two penalties late. McRae, the 33rd overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, has seven goals and one assist through 14 games for Peoria. (Updated 11/12/2011).

02/21/2011 09:45 Right on Schedule: Plenty of moving parts
What is some of the early fallout from the league's fast-approaching trade deadline? What impact might a five-game schedule have on St. Louis? We break the week ahead down in Right on Schedule.
McRae made his NHL debut in 2010-11 when injuries hit, but he didn't show much in his 15-game tryout. He had three points and was a minus-10 with the Blues. He was a little better at AHL Peoria, but he didn't show enough to earn management's confidence. Hence, the offseason signings of Jason Arnott and Jamie Langenbrunner. McRae's fate for next season was sealed on July 6 when St. Louis signed the two veterans to provide the depth that McRae couldn't. He still could evolve into every day NLHer, but it won't happen in 2011-12. (Updated 8/16/11)
