Bournival (head) was placed on injured reserve prior to the break for the Winter Olympics, TSN.ca reports.The Habs still appear to view the forward as day-to-day, and with the upcoming Winter Olympic break to recover, he could be ready to go for the team's next game. The 21-year-old has 13 points, 59 hits and 36 blocks over 50 games in his rookie season.

Bournival has been officially diagnosed with a concussion, Dave Stubbs of the Montreal Gazette reports.Bournival left Thursday's game with what was being called an upper-body injury at first. He had suffered a cut on his chin after taking a hit to the head and never returned to the game. His is still being considered day-to-day but will have the entire Olympic break to recover.
