Ryan Spooner, who took the place of David Krejci between Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton this past Tuesday, played 15:29 in that game. Krejci missed just one game, however, so that was a short-term opportunity for the young center. On Saturday, Spooner skated on a line with Rich Peverley and Jay Pandolfo, seeing just 7:14 worth of ice time. He'll return to Providence for now, where he'll see ample ice time once again, but we have no doubt that Spooner -- a budding young playmaker -- will be back with the big club in time.
