Kevin Shattenkirk scored the only goal in the shootout, and St. Louis' Jaroslav Halak made three saves in the tiebreaker as the Blues beat the Minnesota Wild 3-2 on Saturday night.
Minnesota acquired McIntrye via a trade with the Devils this past June. Standing out on his resume is past hockey experience with Colgate University, with whom McIntyre averaged close to a point per game through four seasons. And last year, with Albany of the AHL, the 24-year-old piled on 30 points (12 G, 18 A) and 51 penalty minutes through 78 contests. Despite the apparent upside, McIntrye is likely to require more development in the minors this season. (Updated 8/16/11)
