Fantasy Analysis
The Jackets haven't announced whether Nikita Nikitin will need to undergo surgery yet, but either way he should have plenty of time to heal up before the beginning of the 2013-14 season. Nikitin finished the year with a line of 3/6/9 and 17 PIMs in 38 games for the Columbus. (Updated 4/29/13).

04/15/2013 11:13 Blue Line Buzz: The beginning of the end
Whose pricetags for next season will take a hit after the current season concludes? Dan Pennucci takes a look in his latest edition of Blue Line Buzz.
Nikita Nikitin was surprisingly effective in Columbus after failing to get much of a chance the last couple of seasons with the Blues, scoring seven goals and 32 points in just 54 games. He'll join Fedor Tyutin on the second blue line pairing and power play unit, but given the lack of talent up front for the Blue Jackets, Nikitin will be lucky to break the 30-point mark again over a full campaign. Remember him in keeper leagues, but be fully aware that Nikitin is prone to streaks. (Updated 8/14/12)
