Bruins Place Warsofsky On IR
Warsofsky (groin) was transferred to injured reserve Monday.With Warsofsky set to miss the next two-to-four weeks with the groin injury, the Bruins decided to move the blueliner to IR in order to open up a roster spot for Torey Krug (finger), who will return to action Monday. Once healthy, it seems probable that Warsofsky will return to AHL Providence.
Bruins' Warsofsky Out 2-4 Weeks
GM Peter Chiarelli confirmed Sunday that Warsofsky will be out 2-4 weeks with a groin strain, the Bruins' official site reports.Once Warsofsky returns to action, he could well head back to the AHL, depending on the health of the rest of the Bruins' blue line corps when that time arrives.

Warsofsky is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a pulled groin muscle, according to the Boston Herald.Warsofsky, who had been filling in on the Bruins' blue line -- while fellow mobile blueliner Torey Krug (among others) was sidelined -- recorded an assist in his four games with the big club. Upon his return to health, a return to AHL Providence seems plausible, depending on the health of Boston's other defensemen at that time.

Coach Claude Julien said Warsofsky would be "out for a while" after suffering an injury in Thursday's game against the Oilers, Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com reports.

Warsofsky saw 18:09 worth of ice time in Thursday's game against the Sabres.With fellow mobile blueliner Torey Krug out, Warsofsky saw 1:49 worth of power play time on Thursday, and if that trend continues, Warsofsky could merit attention in deeper leagues in the short-term.
