The Red Wings have been pretty brutal lately, and Howard's Fantasy production has suffered as a result. Still, he's the clear No. 1 choice in the Motor City for now, and remains worth using as a No. 2 Fantasy option for the time being. The Red Wings TG is also a No. 2 option.

| For all that went wrong for Chris Osgood in 2008-09, he was still sharp as ever when the postseason rolled around. Osgood was once again instrumental in leading Detroit to a second straight Stanley Cup Finals and went 15-8-0 with a 2.01 GAA, .926 save percentage and two shutouts in the postseason. It was a complete turnaround after Osgood posted a .887 save percentage and 3.09 GAA in 46 regular-season games. He did go 26-9-8 but that's because Detroit was the highest-scoring team in the NHL. They bailed him out even when Osgood wasn't at his best. Osgood had confidence issues last season and it didn't help he was battling a groin injury for most of the year as well. That allowed backup goalie Ty Conklin to become a relevant role player. Osgood did shore up down the stretch with seven wins and two shutouts in his final 13 regular-season appearances and then finished with the strong postseason showing. Osgood is second all-time in Red Wings history with 305 wins, trailing only Terry Sawchuk's 351. He also ranks third among active goalies and tied for 10th all-time with 389 career wins. Osgood has 53 regular-season wins in his last two seasons and still gets the job done at 36 years old. Rookie Jimmy Howard is now Osgood's backup with Conklin in St. Louis. There is some injury risk involved with drafting Osgood, but he is still a No. 1 Fantasy option since the Red Wings can make him a winner on any night.
