McAmmond nets two points Friday: Devils LW Dean McAmmond scored a goal, tallied an assist and finished at plus-1 on Friday against the Maple Leafs. McAmmond started the comeback by taking a pass from Vladimir Zharkov and beating Jonas Gustavsson with a backhander to cut the Maple Leafs' lead to a goal. It was his sixth goal and first in eight games.

McAmmond manages to stick around the NHL because of a strong work ethic and a willingness to do the dirty work. It might not be glamorous, but it gives McAmmond a reason to stick around. He has only 13 points in 37 games, so McAmmond doesn't have a great purpose in Fantasy. He is far more important to his real team.
