Fantasy Analysis
After being knocked out of the Feb. 3 game against the Oilers, Andrew Brunette only missed one game and skated almost 14 minutes against Colorado on Tuesday. He did not have a shot on goal and his numbers are down this season, but he is durable. The one game that he missed was only his fourth game out of the lineup in the last nine seasons. Jonathan Toews had two goals, rookies Andrew Shaw and Jimmy Hayes also scored, and the Chicago Blackhawks handed the Buffalo Sabres their 10th straight road loss, 6-2 on Wednesday.
The Blackhawks will get a solid player in Brunette, who is consistently on the ice. He has only missed two games in the last eight seasons with the Wild and the Avalanche. Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville knows Brunette from his coaching days for the Avalanche where he had his best season, 2006-07 with 83 points. He dropped to 26 points in 2010-11, but might have a revival this season with Quenneville. (Updated 10/4/11)
