Fantasy Analysis
Martin Brodeur missed several weeks this season with a neck injury and would like to end his career on a more positive note than missing the playoffs, as New Jersey did this season. It's not much of a surprise that Brodeur wants to return, as he's been solid at times this season and the recent 10-game losing streak can't entirely be pinned on him. Draft him accordingly next season, but don't overpay for him because of his name. (Updated 4/24/13).

Henrik Lundqvist made 20 saves in coasting to his second shutout of the season, and Rick Nash scored twice for the playoff-bound New York Rangers in a 4-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams.
04/23/2013 22:00 Devils win, hurt Canadiens' chances of winning division
Patrik Elias scored his 375th NHL goal, Martin Brodeur made 19 saves for his 669th victory and the New Jersey Devils earned a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.
04/21/2013 18:06 Rangers eliminate Devils, tighten grip on No. 8 in East
Ryan Callahan scored a goal in the opening minute and another in the third period, and Henrik Lundqvist made 26 saves as the New York Rangers eliminated the New Jersey Devils from the Eastern Conference playoff race with a 4-1 victory on Sunday.
Questions abounded heading into October of last year as to whether the 2011-12 season would be Martin Brodeurs last in the NHL. In June of 2012, after Brodeur had led the Devils within two games of the franchises fourth Stanley Cup, there was little question Marty would once more be back in New Jersey. Brodeur inked a two-year contract with the Devils in July and enters the season as the teams 40-year-old starting netminder. He is no longer the elite talent he was several years ago and logic would suggest that he will share more time with Johan Hedberg than he has in previous seasons. Marty finished the season much stronger than he began it, posting a goals-against average of 1.86 in the seasons final three months with all three of his shutouts coming over that span. You could do worse than adding Brodeur as one of your netminders, but dont draft him at the expense of a younger player with more upside. (Updated 8/14/12)
