Concussion - (Updated - 1/4/12)
Fantasy Analysis
Chris Pronger was ruled out for the season in December after his severe post-concussion symptoms would not dissipate. There's been no word on if he's been able to do any type of physical activity beyond the normal day-to-day. This will play out over the summer, but with the scrutiny players with concussions have begun to come under, it's a tenuous situation at best. (Updated 05/11/2012).

Matt Read knocked in a rebound with 18.6 seconds left to lift the Philadelphia Flyers to a 2-1 win over the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday.
Pronger is valued as the top defenseman on a gritty Flyers team and his presence was sorely missed at the end of the regular season last year. He missed the last 16 games due to a broken hand he suffered on March 17. The former Bobby Clarke trophy (team MVP) played in 50 games last season, and scored four goals, but had 21 assists and a steady plus-7 rating. Pronger also underwent back surgery in the offseason but is expected to return in time for training camp. If he can stay healthy, Pronger is still a key asset to a team that added Jaromir Jagr and is now entering his 17th year in the league. (Updated 10/4/11)
