Brashear rejoins Rangers lineup: Rangers enforcer Donald Brashear returned to the lineup on Monday against the Penguins after being scratched for five games because of a hamstring ailment. He had no points in 5:35 of ice time and finished at minus-1.

Brashear hasn't been a model of health in 2009-10, but at least he hasn't been sidelined by an injury for several weeks. He mostly dresses as the Rangers' top enforcer and is a flier in Fantasy leagues that reward heavily for PIM.

| One of the most surprising transactions this offseason was the Rangers signing enforcer Donald Brashear after losing Colton Orr to the Maple Leafs. While no one is doubting Brashear's ability to replace Orr, it was just an interesting situation since months earlier Brashear was suspended six games during the playoffs for a high hit on Rangers forward Blair Betts. Coach John Tortorella said he still doesn't agree with what Brashear did to Betts, but added this is a business and the 37-year-old veteran brings a "unique presence" to the Rangers lineup. Brashear had just four points in 63 games for the Capitals last season while dealing with some injury issues. He still finished first on the team with 121 penalty minutes and 11 fighting majors. Brashear has totaled 100 or more penalty minutes for the last 13 seasons. Unfortunately, he hasn't managed more than 13 points in his last five seasons.
