Modin has dressed for only 22 games this season due to injury and hasn't played more than 70 games since 2006-07. Modin is not a recommended Fantasy option because he is out of the lineup more than in it.

| Fredrik Modin might as well walk around with a sign that reads, "Handle with care." The once 30-goal threat has played in just 73 games the last two seasons due to various injuries. In 2008-09, the major culprits were hip, shoulder and knee issues. Modin recorded nine goals, 16 assists and a plus-2 rating in 50 games. The 34-year-old forward appears on the decline of his career, and with all the young talent emerging in Columbus, you have to wonder how much top-six time he is going to log in 2009-10. Modin is more of an injury-risk Fantasy flier Draft Day. He is going to miss the first few weeks of the season with a sprained MCL suffered in a preseason game. Oh brother. (Updated 9/24/09) |
