Gill has rare point vs. Panthers: Canadiens D Hal Gill scored a goal and finished at plus-1 on Thursday against the Panthers. Montreal got even 1-1 at 11:33 when Gill fired a one-timer from the top of the circle that beat Tomas Vokoun high to the glove side. It was his second goal and first since Oct. 31. It was also his first point in 14 games.

Gill hasn't had a setback from a foot injury that kept him out of a month since returning to the lineup in early December. Gill has had a few 20-point seasons in his campaign, but he is primarily on the ice for his defense. Consider him a very low-end Fantasy defenseman. He is also worth a look in leagues that reward heavily for short-handed stats and plus-minus rating.

Sergei Kostitsyn snapped a third-period tie with a deflected goal and the Montreal Canadiens stretched their winning streak to six with a 3-1 victory against the New York Rangers on Tuesday night in the 600th meeting between the Original Six rivals.

Canadiens run winning streak to five by holding off Bruins
Sergei Kostitsyn scored his second goal of the game early in the third period and the Montreal Canadiens went on to their season-high fifth straight win, 3-2 over the Boston Bruins on Saturday night.

Sharks rebound from first back-to-back regulation losses
