Fantasy Analysis
On the plus side, Marian Hossa visited the United Center Monday morning, and he's reportedly feeling much better. His status beyond Monday's Game 6 is cloudy, though the Hawks must of course avoid elimination for it to affect those in playoff pools. (Updated 04/23/2012).
05/03/2012 19:35 Marian Hossa slowly starting to feel better
Marian Hossa is still recovering from a concussion that knocked him out of the playoffs, and the forward says he is now "slowly going for walks."
05/03/2012 11:30 Raffi Torres, NHLPA to appeal 25-game suspension for hit on Marian Hossa
Raffi Torres was suspended longer for his hit on Marian Hossa in the first round of this year's playoffs longer than all but Chris Simon's 30-game suspension in 2007. Now Torres and the NHLPA are going to appeal the 25-game suspension that will almost assuredly carry over into next season.
Hossa saw a bump in the right direction last year, as he stayed healthy compared to his past seasons with the Blackhawks. By playing eight more games (65) than the previous campaign, Hossas point total increased to 57, with 25 goals and 32 assists to boot. His 100-point seasons might be over, but he will be well rested for 2011-12 and primed for another big year. (Updated 10/4/11)
