The Rangers were stymied by Carey Price, but that seems to be easy -- the Rangers are the lowest-scoring team in the NHL. Martin Biron doesn't get many starts and is best deployed as a handcuff to Henrik Lundqvist ... except in Montreal. Avoid him at all cost there next time. (Updated 3/30/13).

About three hours after asking for more respect from NHL officials, Alex Ovechkin was called for two penalties within seconds of each other, leading to a pair of goals that put the New York Rangers ahead for good Sunday in a 4-1 win over the Washington Capitals.
The Rangers re-signed Martin Biron to a two-year deal worth $2.6 million over the offseason and he will re-assume his role as one of the league's top backup netminders behind Vezina Trophy winner Henrik Lundqvist. Biron only started 20 games last season, but he provided a great return in posting a .904 save percentage to go along with 12 wins. The 34-year-old won't provide enough value to figure into standard league drafts, but he does offer value as a handcuff to Lundqvist and to those in deep leagues that roll many netminders. Biron's worth keeping an eye on during the season as a very capable spot-start fill-in or if injury should befall Lundqvist. (Updated 8/14/12)
