Lalime gets the odd start now and again to spell No. 1 Ryan Miller, but his stats have been downright awful this season. Lalime is only worth owning in super-deep leagues as a handcuff to Miller's owners, who have to be praying their stud No. 1 guy doesn't go down. The Sabres TG is a must-start option. Mason earns third shutout as Jackets blank Sabres
Steve Mason stopped 28 shots for his third shutout of the season, and Rick Nash and Raffi Torres scored against the NHL's top penalty-killing team, leading the Columbus Blue Jackets past the Buffalo Sabres, 4-0 on Saturday night.
|
| Lalime really struggled as Ryan Miller’s backup in 2008-09, managing only a 5-13-3 record, 3.10 GAA and .900 save percentage. Those numbers should scare most Fantasy owners away from drafting him, especially as he’ll only get the odd start here and there if Miller manages to stay a little healthier this season. Only draft Lalime in the deepest of leagues as a handcuff for Miller owners, as his best days appear to be behind him. (Updated 8/18/09) |
