Fantasy Analysis
It was a statement game for the beleaguered netminder who struggled mightily this year. And at 37, he may be hard-pressed to pick up a job this offseason. There may be a chance we've seen the last of him. (Updated 4/27/13).
04/27/2013 21:51 Blue Jackets rally by Preds, fall short of postseason bid
Jack Johnson scored the go-ahead goal with 4:48 left and the Columbus Blue Jackets capped a remarkable turnaround with a 3-1 victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
04/25/2013 23:42 Red Wings beat Preds, close in on 22nd straight playoff berth
Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and two assists and the Detroit Red Wings moved a step closer to their 22nd straight playoff appearance with a 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators on Thursday night.
Following a combined four years with St. Louis and Atlanta/Winnipeg, Chris Mason will now return to the franchise where his NHL career began back in 1998-99, signing a one-year deal with Nashville in July. Unfortunately for Mason, he will serve as backup to Pekka Rinne, whose 73 games played last season tied him with Jonas Hiller for first among all NHL netminders. Bottom line dont expect Mason to see a lot of ice time in 2012-13. (Updated 8/14/12)
