Fantasy Analysis
Scott Hannan is solid defensively but is not much of a scorer, with two goals and 10 assists in 67 games this season. (Updated 03/16/2012).
02/26/2012 01:30 Flyers rally from three down to win
Scott Hartnell had a goal and an assist, and Matt Read scored the shootout winner as the Philadelphia Flyers rallied from a three-goal deficit and beat the Calgary Flames 5-4 on Saturday night.
02/24/2012 00:18 Coyotes stay hot, win fourth straight
Ray Whitney scored the lone goal of the shootout Thursday to lead the Phoenix Coyotes to a 4-3 win over the Calgary Flames.
Hannan, a shutdown defender, had been looking for work as a free agent but found his employer by signing a one-year, $1 million deal with the Flames this past August. Considering the former Capital banked $4.5 million last season, Hannan will be lighter in the pocket, but the Flames richer on the blue line as Hannan will likely assume a leadership role and provide a veteran presence. Unfortunately, this doesn't equate to a whole lot in the numbers-hungry world of fantasy hockey. (Updated 10/4/11)
