Fantasy Analysis
Even though Ruslan Fedotenko helped lead the Rangers to victory on Tuesday, fantasy owners shouldn't expect that he will do the same for their teams. The veteran winger has the ability to contribute, but his inconsistent ice time has led to a mere 16 points that has him on pace for a career low. There are worse options out there, but there are better ones too. (Updated 03/27/2012).
05/25/2012 23:04 Devils top Rangers in overtime to advance to Stanley Cup Final
Adam Henrique scored off a wild scramble in front at 1:03 into overtime and the New Jersey Devils defeated the New York Rangers 3-2 to advance to their first Stanley Cup finals since 2003.
05/24/2012 19:27 Rangers in similar 1994 situation, but won't guarantee Game 6
Eighteen years ago, Mark Messier set the stage for one of sports' most dramatic moments. On the eve of the New York Rangers' must-win Game 6 against the Devils in New Jersey in the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals, Messier guaranteed his team would force a deciding contest back at Madison Square Garden.
05/21/2012 23:03 Devils top Rangers, even series 2-2
Martin Brodeur made 27 saves and survived a third-period punch to the chest by old buddy Mike Rupp as the New Jersey Devils defeated the New York Rangers 3-1 in Game 4 to even the Eastern Conference finals Monday night.
Fedotenko is the type of player that every team needs; someone to do the little things that don't always get noticed or end up on the scoresheet like chasing down loose pucks and managing the penalty kill. Although Wojtek Wolski has to be considered the early favorite to play with Brad Richards and Marian Gaborik, he's no lock for the spot. Fedotenko has a history with Richards and coach John Tortorella trusts him, which is enough to consider drafting him toward the middle-to-late rounds of fantasy drafts. (Updated 10/4/11)
