Fantasy Analysis
He not only played in both ends of the back-to-back, but he increased his minutes to 21:34 on Saturday after playing 17:07 on Friday. It might be too late in the fantasy season for Andrei Markov to help anyone, but look for his value to be suppressed in the auctions/drafts next season. (Updated 04/02/2012).

Erik Cole scored two third-period goals, and the Montreal Canadiens beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-1 on Saturday night for their first winning streak in a month.
The Canadiens are showing a lot of faith in MarkovÂ’s recuperative powers. They handed him a four-year contract at age 32 after having played just 52 games in the last two seasons due to two reconstructive knee surgeries. When healthy, Markov has been an elite scoring defenseman, a team leader in minutes played and, perhaps most importantly, the quarterback of the CanadiensÂ’ power play unit. Obviously, the big question is the state of his right knee. (Updated 10/4/11)
