Fantasy Analysis
The return of Andy McDonald, who has not played since suffering his latest concussion Oct. 13, will be a nice boost to the Blues' scoring punch. In just three games this season, he has recorded two assists, while the 2010-11 campaign saw McDonald record 50 points in 58 games. (Updated 02/12/2012).
10/16/2011 17:31 Right on Schedule: What's happening in Columbus?
Not time to panic just yet if you invested in Canucks goalies. Notoriously slow-starting Roberto Luongo has been less than steady, but Brian Rutherford says it's heating up in Vancouver in his Week 2 Right on Schedule.
10/13/2011 23:55 Stars 3, Blues 2
Kari Lehtonen stopped 36 shots, Loui Eriksson scored short-handed, and the Dallas Stars hung on to beat the St. Louis Blues 3-2 Thursday night.
10/10/2011 17:32 Pietrangelo leads Blues over Flames
Alex Pietrangelo had a goal and an assist to lead the St. Louis Blues to their first win of the season, a 5-2 victory over the Calgary Flames on Monday afternoon.
McDonald is still cranking in his mid-thirties, posting 50 points in 58 games last season while ranking third on the team at 20 minutes per game. A mid-season concussion forced him to miss significant time, but he finished strong, averaging a point per game over the final 33 games. If healthy, hell continue to be featured offensive threat on St. Louis top line and on the first power play. (Updated 10/4/11)
