03/03/2013 22:38 Canadiens push past Bruins for big conference victory
David Desharnais scored the winner with his second goal of the game less than four minutes after Max Pacioretty tied it earlier in the third period, lifting the Montreal Canadiens to a 4-3 comeback win over the Boston Bruins in a matchup of the Eastern Conference's top teams Sunday night.
02/21/2013 23:00 Islanders rally to snap Canadiens 6-game streak
Rookie defenseman Thomas Hickey scored in overtime for his first NHL goal, and the New York Islanders rallied to snap the Montreal Canadiens' six-game winning streak, 4-3 on Thursday night.
Travis Moen inked a four-year contract -- the longest deal he's ever signed -- to return to Montreal. He was on pace for his best season before a mid-year concussion followed by sinusitis cut it all short. If all hockey teams need grinders, then the Canadiens can certainly use Moen, who has served that role the last three seasons for the team. He's a defensive forward that won't make too much noise offensively. (Updated 8/14/12)
