Fantasy Analysis
The Devils captain saw a specialist Monday, and the good news here is that he doesn't appear to need surgery. The bad news is that he needs more time to rest, so he won't play in New Jersey's final three games. (Updated 4/22/13).

04/10/2013 22:34 Bruins get better of Brodeur, beat struggling Devils

Bryce Salvador posted nine points, all assists, in 82 games during the regular season last year. But, following a highly productive playoffs that saw Salvador put up 14 points in 24 games, the Devils opted to keep the veteran around for another two seasons, re-signing him in July. It would be foolish to believe Salvador could keep up the pace he established in the playoffs during any regular season, so classify him as a defensive defenseman for all intents and purposes.
