Fantasy Analysis
The unrestricted free agent is due a raise over the $1.5 million salary he earned in 2012-13. Pascal Dupuis has shown an ability to produce with or without Sidney Crosby on his line the last couple seasons, but advancing age has to be a slight consideration at 34. Dupuis' free agency is just one of many concerns for Pittsburgh heading into the summer. He's averaged 20 goals per season for the Pens in his four full seasons. (Updated 6/8/13).
06/08/2013 10:27 Raise Due Dupuis This Summer
Dupuis was held pointless Friday, finishing the postseason with seven goals and 11 points in 15 contests.
Despite shuffling from line to line and collecting a combined 34 minutes of power-play time for the entire season, Pascal Dupuis registered career highs across the board with 25 goals, 34 assists and 59 points. Super Duper, who took 31 more shots than in any of his previous 10 NHL campaigns, had never scored more than 20 goals. Look for that total to regress back to his average of 15-to-20 goals in 2012-13. He may be ranked higher in pools because of his career season but it would be unwise to bank on those numbers once again. (Updated 8/14/12)
