Fantasy Analysis
A bit of a homecoming for the 14-year veteran who spent some time playing for the Senators and has plenty of family in Kingston. However, from a fantasy standpoint, it doesn't do much. The 36-year old has just nine points in 32 games and spends a good amount of time sitting in favor of younger players. (Updated 02/11/2012).
02/05/2012 01:29 Oilers' Gagner continues points rampage in SO win over Red Wings
Sam Gagner continued to rack up the points and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored the shootout winner as the Edmonton Oilers beat the league-leading Detroit Red Wings 5-4 on Saturday night.
01/24/2012 01:00 Oilers top Sharks in shootout
Taylor Hall scored the winning goal in a shootout and the Edmonton Oilers snapped a three-game skid with a 2-1 victory over the Pacific Division-leading San Jose Sharks on Monday night.
Sutton is another stay at home defenseman who will give the Oilers some toughness in front of his own net. Sutton didn't light the lamp once in 2010-11, so he won't be seeing power play time. Still, he is the type of defenseman that every team covets as opposing teams will skate a wide berth around him rather than take the physical punishment he is willing to hand out down the middle of the ice.
