04/23/2013 23:03 Bruins fall to Flyers but still lead Northeast Division
Matt Read and Oliver Lauridsen scored goals 7 seconds apart to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-2 victory over the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night.
04/16/2013 22:56 Flyers help playoff push by taking care of Rangers
Brayden Schenn, Erik Gustafsson and Kimmo Timonen scored to give Philadelphia's faint playoff hopes a boost, and the Flyers beat the New York Rangers 4-2 on Tuesday night for their second win in two nights.
Expect Kimmo Timonen to be the elite blue-liner hes been for the last seven seasons. Last year, he posted an impressive 43 points with all four of his goals coming on the man-advantage. This skilled defenseman knows how to make his way onto the scoresheet with 30-plus assists every year since 2005-06 and, with an incredibly capable group of forwards in front of him, Timonen should do well in 2012-13. Don't count on him for big shots or goals totals, but you could do much worse than taking Timonen to round out your blue line corps. (Updated 8/14/12)
