02/02/2012 22:03 Devils rally with 4 straight goals vs. Habs
Zach Parise scored two goals, including the go-ahead tally with 2:44 remaining, and the New Jersey Devils beat the Montreal Canadiens 5-3 on Thursday.
Darche was a utility tool for the Habs last season, filling in wherever the team needed. Hes mostly a third- or fourth-liner, but found himself skating with the top-six boys at times. As a result, he posted career-highs in goals (12) and points (26). Obviously, were not talking high-end fantasy value here, but his hard work has made him a trusted forward for coach Jacques Martin. Expect third-line minutes for the 34-year-old Darche. (Updated 10/4/11)
