Leclaire Still Can't Find A Team: Following major hip surgery in March, Pascal Leclaire is still unable to pass medical tests and is noticeably slow to recover when he goes down on the ice. He fully acknowledges that his hip can't withstand the "pressure" and "torque" that is required to perform at the highest level and says he couldn't currently keep up with the pace of an NHL practice, the Ottawa Citizen reports. Pascal Leclaire played in just 14 games in 2010-11 and most teams seem to be avoiding the free agent. The best he can hope for seems to be a continuation of a slow rehab process and sign on with a team looking for an experienced backup when the season rolls around. (Updated 08/31/2011).

Leclaire enters the 2011-12 campaign without an employer. A former first-rounder that has battled a few injuries in his career, Leclaire was waived by Ottawa in February of last year after posting a 4-7-1 record with a less-than-impressive 2.83 goals-against average. Lelcaire could be a serviceable backup at this point in his career and could be worth a look should he receive the opportunity to reignite his career when he lands at a club. (Updated 10/4/11)
