Fantasy Analysis
Dan Hamhuis has been on a tear in April, racking up eight points (2 G, 6 A) in 11 games. With 24 points in 46 games, Hamhuis is scoring at a pace that would result in his first 40-point effort over an 82-game schedule. Make sure he's in your lineup for the final couple games of the season. (Updated 4/23/13).

04/23/2013 15:58 Blue Line Buzz: This year's top surprises
It's time to take a look back at the season and find the most Fantasy-relevant surprises. Can they translate for the long-term? Dan Pennucci discusses in his latest Blue Line Buzz.
Always a steady defender, Dan Hamhuis finally put his offensive game together to post the best season of his career in 2011-12. The 30-year-old blueliner finished with a career-high 37 points (4 G, 33 A) while posting a plus-29 rating, which was the second best plus-minus rating amongst blueliners. Playing on the top defensive pairing and being among the leaders in ice time for one of the highest scoring teams in the league will put Hamhuis in position to repeat his success from last year. Plus, his unlucky shooting percentage of 0.29 hints at the upside for more goals should the puck bounce his way more often. Hamhuis should be one of the steadier defensive options you can get at a decent price come draft day. (Updated 8/14/12)
