| Fantasy Analysis |
Huselius has posted 17 points in his first 18 games and hasn't looked this good offensively since he was in Calgary. There is hope Huselius is ready to get back over 60 points in 2009-10, but he definitely has to fight off the inconsistency bug. Huselius remains more of a No. 5 or No. 6 Fantasy forward, but his value is climbing. (Updated 11/24/2009).

Blue Jackets earn rare win against Stars goalie Turco
Rick Nash scored on a power play and Kristian Huselius added a short-handed goal in the final seconds of the fight-filled opening period, sending the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 4-1 victory over the Dallas Stars on Thursday.
|
| The Blue Jackets lured Kristian Huselius to Columbus in the 2008 offseason after a very successful three-year tenure with the Flames (190 points in 240 games). Columbus was in desperate need of some secondary scorers behind Rick Nash, and Huselius delivered just that as he finished third on the team with 21 goals. He also finished second to Nash with 56 points. Unfortunately, Huselius just converted 9.9 percent of his shots, his lowest output since 2003-04 with the Panthers. Huselius had some of his best years playing alongside Jarome Iginla in Calgary and no one was surprised to see his production dip in 2008-09. He did play better after the calendar year turned to 2009 with 11 goals and 22 assists in his final 38 games. If he can carry that momentum into 2009-10, Huselius might work his way back up the Fantasy ladder. But he remains more of a No. 5 or No. 6 Fantasy forward Draft Day. (Updated 8/17/09) |
