Fantasy Analysis
It was just a few days ago that Nash's side and the Blue Jackets seemed far apart on a new deal, but the two parties got to work and hammered out a deal. It's a tremendous weight lifted off Nash's shoulders heading into the '09-10 season. Nash set the club mark with 79 points (40 goals, 39 assists in 78 games) in 2008-09. Since the Blue Jackets traded up to take him with the No. 1 pick in the 2002 draft, Nash has been the face of the franchise. He shared the Rocket Richard Trophy for leading goal-scorer with Calgary's Jarome Iginla and Atlanta's Ilya Kovalchuk in 2003-2004. He's been a productive All-Star the last three season. He does it all for the Blue Jackets and only seems to be getting better. Consider Nash a must-own Fantasy forward Draft Day. (Updated 07/03/2009).
