Cam Ward has won three of four games while allowing a total of five goals. He's turned around a slow start to the season and he's back to playing like the borderline elite goalie that he has long been. (Updated 02/08/2012).

02/02/2012 21:44 Hurricanes sweep series against Bruins
Cam Ward made 47 saves -- 22 in the first period and 20 in the third -- Brandon Sutter had a goal and an assist, and the Carolina Hurricanes finished their first season-sweep of the Boston Bruins with a 3-0 victory on Thursday.
01/31/2012 21:45 Tavares powers Islanders past 'Canes
John Tavares scored two goals and had two assists to lead the New York Islanders over the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 on Tuesday night.
Ward was a busy man in 2010-11, as he led all NHL goalies with 74 starts and 4,317:35 minutes between the posts. Thanks to the enormous workload and a sparkling save percentage (.923), he was able to deny 2,191 shots, easily setting a new career high in the saves category. And despite the Hurricanes failing to make the playoffs for the second consecutive year, Ward posted a robust record of 37-26-10. Fantasy owners should feel safe using the former Conn Smythe trophy winner as a No. 1 option at the goalie position, even though hes expected to be rested more often in the upcoming season with Brian Boucher now on board.
