Fantasy Analysis
It was thought Pierre-Marc Bouchard wouldn't return this season, so this may be a sign of progress. Still, it's hard to see him playing again with the Wild fading out of the playoff race. (Updated 03/08/2012).
01/10/2012 22:39 Wild 5, Sharks 4, SO
Matt Cullen scored in the third period and in the first round of the shootout to help the skidding Minnesota Wild recover from a late stumble to beat San Jose 5-4 on Tuesday night, stopping the Sharks' four-game winning streak.
01/05/2012 01:12 Canucks top standings, blank Wild
Roberto Luongo made 28 saves in his 700th NHL game and led the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-0 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday night.
12/29/2011 22:54 Wild snap eight-game winless streak
Dany Heatley scored his third goal in four games to help the Minnesota Wild snap an eight-game winless streak and beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 on Thursday in a ferocious game from start to finish.
Bouchard played well last season, as he accumulated 38 points (12 G, 26 A) after his 2009-10 campaign was derailed by concussions and limited him to just one game. The trouble with PM aside from his recent injury history is that he is not an impact player on the man advantage, nor has he been on the right side of the plus/minus since his career year in 2007-08, when he went plus-11 and notched 50 assists. Bouchard has surprised us before, but there will be safer options at the forward position in fantasy land. (Updated 10/4/11)
