Fantasy Analysis
Josh Harding's won two starts in a row (both in shootouts against the 'Hawks, though this one was much prettier) and four of six overall, but these games mean nothing, as the Wild are well outside of the Western Conference playoff picture. Harding, however, is a free agent after this year, and will likely be changing uniforms. We hear they could use a goalie down in Tampa. (Updated 04/06/2012).
04/01/2012 22:29 Wild upend Blackhawks in shootout
Devin Setoguchi and Erik Christensen scored in a shootout to help the Minnesota Wild beat the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4 on Sunday night for their third consecutive victory.
03/25/2012 19:47 Caps continue playoff push, top Wild
Alex Ovechkin continued his recent resurgence with his ninth goal in seven games, and the Washington Capitals pulled back into the final Eastern Conference playoff spot with a 3-0 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Sunday.
03/24/2012 21:59 Sabres keep up with playoff push
Rookie Marcus Foligno scored a power-play goal 1:45 into the third period, and the Buffalo Sabres continued their late-season surge into playoff contention with a 3-1 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night.
03/22/2012 23:26 Wild 3, Flames 2 (SO)
Devin Setoguchi scored in the fourth round of a shootout in the Minnesota Wild's 3-2 comeback victory over the Calgary Flames on Thursday night.
The Wild have been loyal to Harding since drafting him in the second round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, even though he's made just 83 appearances between the pipes in his career. Once billed as a top goalie prospect, Harding missed the entire 2010-11 campaign after sustaining a torn ACL/MCL in preseason action last September. Harding re-signed with the Wild this past offseason and is expected to be healthy for the 2011-12, reprising the role of backup netminder to starter Niklas Backstrom. Harding is not an attractive fantasy option given his propensity for injuries and limited role. (Updated 10/4/11)
