Fantasy Analysis
Unlike some goons, who pad their totals with you-beat-me penalties such as holding and hooking, he earned these four minutes the old-fashioned way (cross-checking and roughing). Despite his meager total of 13 points this campaign, he'll be back in his enforcer role next year; the Oilers didn't hire him for his elegant passing and his deft skating. (Updated 04/08/2012).
03/05/2012 12:56 Right on Schedule: Gear up for a big week
The trade deadline is history, but don't let that lull you into thinking this is going to be a slow week. Brian Rutherford says you need to a get the edge where you can in his latest Right on Schedule.
Although Eager has scored 25 goals over the past three seasons, it's his physical playing style that led to his new three-year deal with the Oilers this past July. Eager, who has accumulated 741 PIMs in 323 career games, could be one of the players providing protection for young guns Taylor Hall and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. He is likely to play on the fourth line role with the possibility of watching from press box when the club plays against finesse teams.
