Paille (upper body) said he's been cleared to play and is only awaiting coach Claude Julien's decision of whether or not to use him in the lineup for Thursday's Game 1, Marc Antoine Godin of the Montreal Press reports.
|Daniel Paille, who uses his wheels to kill penalties and generate a decent amount of chances on offense, has generally been a fixture on the Bruins’ fourth line during his tenure with the team. While that may remain the case this season with Shawn Thornton having moved on, there’s a chance the B’s could retool their grinder line, with Paille potentially moving up to the team’s third troika. While the speedster isn't known as a great finisher, such a promotion would likely result in an uptick in production, on the heels of a 2013-14 season in which Paille notched nine goals and 18 points in 72 games.
